Casa Rivera del Cacao
Our hacienda is a Colombian-French chocolate project with a proposal dedicated to excellence. Since its inception, it has focused on a key objective: to produce, through the tree to bar scheme (from the tree to the chocolate bar), one of the best chocolate bars in the world with Colombian cocoa of Quindío Origin.
His idea is to produce fine aroma organic cocoa in his own crop, which allows him to have complete traceability of the fruit, from the selection of the variety to the end of the fermentation and drying process. In this way, it seeks to achieve a maximum point of quality in the raw material and later in the elaborated product.
We have eight varieties of Colombian cocoa, of which five have been recognized several times as Cocoa Of Excellence at the Great Chocolate Show in Paris (Arauquita, Tame, Saravena, Lebrija, San Vicente de Chucurí), equivalent to the best in the world.
In addition to three varieties from the Coffee Region: Santágueda (fine aroma trinitarian), Río Verde (Criollo Porcelain) and Monsalve (Cacao originating from Quindío that had become extinct in the department when it was replaced years ago by coffee crops and that today , we have recovered for Quindío.
The farm, which is part of the Coffee Cultural Heritage Routes, is also a hotel with ten rooms of three types, Suite, Junior Suite and Standard (all with private bathroom).
A restaurant with a wood stove and oven where we prepare the best of the national cuisine, French pastries with Colombian fruits, wine cellar, brandies and rum, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, river beach, an orchid garden and a Spa where you can enjoy therapies and rituals made with cocoa, coffee, bamboo, hot stones and passionflowers; and, Watsu (natural products that are available on the farm).
In addition, you will find a beautiful trail that runs through our cocoa crops.
